The Age of Regression,

by Adrian Banks, November 24, 2005

Regression: act of going back; backward movement. (American College Dictionary)

Historians have found it convenient and indispensable for purposes of discussion, to segregate and name certain large chronological periods, which seem to have a measure of unity and a character that differentiate them from ages before and after. The Hellenistic Age, the Middle Ages, and Dark Ages are examples of this. After the civil war in America, there was what is called the Reconstruction Era. Today, we find ourselves in another era that will be part of history some day. What shall we call this era that would give people in the future a idea of what happened during this period? After much thought on the subject, I would submit that, since the ruling bodies of the world are pushing the people back into a servile condition, the period of time we are trapped in may be accurately described as the Age of Regression, because we are indeed reverting back to slavery.

After the civil war in America and up until the New Deal of the 1930's, the laws were designed to secure people’s rights which were guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. Pursuant to the Declaration of Independence, these rights were held as inalienable, which meant that the only way these rights could be taken away would be punishment for crime after conviction (see 13th amendment). For example, two of the rights that the people used to have prior to the New Deal were the right to free labor and the right of locomotion. Free labor meant that you had the right to go out and find work and keep the money you earned and spend it as you saw fit for your own betterment and enjoyment. This also meant that your labor (wages) was not a taxable object. You received the equivalent of your labor, not an allowance that masters determined by their laws. With free labor, the family unit was guaranteed its fullest means of support. Today, labor is taxed on a massive scale in violation of the 13th amendment and the future labor of our children is declared to be commerce by assigning them Taxpayer Identification Numbers at birth, thus regressing to the old slave maxim partus sequitur ventrem. The right of locomotion has also been destroyed. The primary mode by which people travel is by automobile. Around 60-70 years ago, the states began their licensing schemes which destroyed the liberty to travel by automobile and replaced it with a privilege granted by the state. Exercising the right of locomotion has become a crime. But, then again, all forms of slavery made traveling illegal unless the slaves had a license from their masters. Once again, we see a regression to the servile doctrines of old. Whether you agree with labor taxation or the licensing of drivers is irrelevant, because these things are established facts that effect everyday life, and an examination of the institutions of slavery that existed in the past prove that slaves only received an allowance from the ir labor and they could not travel without license from their masters.

We are also regressing when it comes to the family unit. It should be noted that the status of slavery bastardizes the issue of marriage, thus making marriage and divorce a fiction. Hence, the divorce growth industry is a massive fraud. In addition, the laws today do not encourage marriage stability and the bonding of the family unit. Read Judy Parejko’s "Stolen Vows." On the contrary, the system destroys families by the thousands ever year and pushes many fathers into the levels of slavery the Nazis imposed upon the Jews during WWII, where 65% of their labor is taken from them by the force of law. Of course, the rulers appeal to the welfare of children to justify this heavy servitude. But this is not new. Some of the most evil tyrants of history have gained popularity by appealing to the welfare of children. If you don’t believe me, click here . I would have to agree with Prof. Stephen Baskerville of Howard University, who believes that fatherhood itself has become criminalized.

The advances in science and technology have made out lives more comfortable and greatly enhanced our entertainments. Television is a prime example, which came into being during the New Deal period. But as far as the way the laws operate upon the common people, we are indeed regressing to the servile doctrines of old, where there are no rights, but only the privileges we are granted by a chain of rulers who abandoned constitutional process over 70 years ago.

We live in the Age of Regression, where an institution of cannibalistic slavery flourishes. The rulers despoil the working people of their labor to any degree they wish, but they accept none of the responsibilities of masters. If your allowance from your labor doesn’t leave you enough money to live on, then you can be homeless and go hungry. That’s just the way it is. Of course, the oppressed slaves can always commit suicide to emancipate themselves, and thousands every year do just that.

Where it all will lead only time will tell, but I would have to agree with a former congressman named Frank Black, who, in an address he gave entitled "The Greatness of Lincoln" before the Republican Club of New York City on Feb. 12,1903 stated:

"We must not only learn, we must remember. The newest is not always the best. The date or luster of a coin does not determine its metal........ No character in the world more clearly saw the worth of substance and the mockery of show, and no career ever set in such everlasting light and doctrine, that although vanity and pretense may flourish for a day, there can be no lasting triumph not founded on the truth."
