Sorry, my friend, but evil is not defeated by running from it. You MUST LOOK into Saddam's regime and you MUST realize that while being no DIRECT threat to the US, Saddam is nevertheless a real threat because he uses surrogates to carry out his operations against us. You state that Iraq is no threat to the US. Well, nothing could be further from the truth and if you're like most, you won't see that until an American city goes up in smoke or until there's a massive outbreak of the recombinant ebola-smallpox virus that Saddam and the Russians have been working on.
You appear to be one of those who think you can talk your way through or out of anything. Well, I could prove you wrong in about half a second. Remember that the only way for evil to triumph - is for good men to do nothing. Evil cannot be defeated by running from it. If you don't think that Saddam is truly evil, you either haven't been paying attention or you're not capable of paying attention. Now, I'm sure oil figures into the picture, but if you weigh the cost of going over there to "take him out" against potential oil revenues, I think you'll find that the cost of operations will take a long time to recover and we'll probably be out of Iraq before those oil revenues compensate us for our trouble.
In short, I think there's a lot more to this whole thing than you've taken into consideration. I don't believe you've formed a complete picture and it appears that you're taking your cues from some ideologues who want to have their version of reality made official - in spite of all the facts.
